World & Maps
Ragnarok: The New World's core pitch is a single, seamless open world rather than the segmented maps of earlier Ragnarok titles.
Seamless Midgard
Both Gravity's own marketing and hands-on player coverage describe Prontera as the open, walkable hub city, connecting radially outward to fields, forests, and coastal routes without loading screens between major zones. Classic Ragnarok locations referenced across official and community coverage include Prontera, Payon, Morocc/Morroc, Geffen, and Alberta, presented as part of one continuous, explorable continent rather than separate instanced maps.
Getting Around
Community guides describe waypoint shrines that activate on first contact, letting you fast-travel back later (typically at a small Zeny or item cost for longer distances), alongside Kafra teleport services and wing items for players who haven't unlocked a mount yet. See Pets & Mounts for ground and flying mount details.
Zone Access & Level Gating
Some regions reportedly require story progression or a minimum job tier to enter, and PvP in the open world is restricted to specific areas accessible only once you reach a certain level, according to official app store listings. Treat exact zone requirements as subject to change until you see them in-client.
